INTRODUCTION

D-Bliss Multi-purpose Cooperative Society was first conceived as a vision to help and provide voluntary services to the less privileged, destitutes, vulnerables, needy and touching the lives of people around us. We went by the name D-Bliss because we want to put smiles on the faces of people by bringing them into a state of joy and happiness. This vision came into existence last year February 14, 2023. The Cooperative has obtain it’s certificate on the 20th of September, 2023. With registration number 32045. And it’s  Bye-laws registration number 32065

CHALLENGES / FINANCIAL CONSTRAINT

D-Bliss Multi-purpose Cooperative Society was faced with initial challenges of recruiting members but later we were able to overcome these challenges by gaining more members when we carried out humanitarian services in the community.

The cooperative was also faced with financial constraint at her early stage because we didn’t receive any support from external bodies/donors. We had to levy ourselves to carry out most of our activities, and through the monthly contributions and savings of our members. We borrowed out our savings with a minimal interest rate to generate extra funds for the cooperative and her members. We also carried out fund-raising activities around us and sent appeal funds letter and cards to volunteer to support our projects.

ACHIEVEMENTS

D-Bliss Multi-purpose Cooperative Society has been able to make some achievements with the little resources at her disposal. We have been able to provide voluntary services to the communities around us by giving health talks, free medical checkup, free skill acquisition like soap making, beads making, free training in computer and assess to Internet, free donations of exercise books to public schools.
Our cooperative is open to receive help and assistance from donors, government, non-governmental organizations and other private institutes, to enable us carry out more projects and reach out to larger communities.

GOALS

D-Bliss Multi-purpose Cooperative Society have set some goals
1. To aspire and enlarge its activities/services to reach out to larger communities we want to reach out to schools, rural communities, correctional centers, and the needy.
2. The cooperative also wants to reduce poverty and inequality of it’s members especially those who are widows, vulnerables, disabled and have financial and health challenges.
3. We also aspire to create jobs and opportunities to the less privileged in our community through the empowerment of our women and young girls, providing access to and quality economy opportunities for young people enabling them to realize their potentials and develop their skills and participate fully in the society.
